Rest:
A body is said to be at rest when it does not change its position with respect to their environment and time. For example house, tower, tree etc.
MOTION:
A body is said to be in motion when it changes its position with respect to environment and time.
For example moving car, walking man etc.
TYPES OF MOTION :
- Linear Motion
- Circular Motion
- Rotatory (or Rotational ) motion
- Oscillatory (or Periodic ) motion
Linear Motion:
When a body moves along a straight line ,then the body is said to be in linear motion.
Circular Motion:
When a body moves along a circular path ,then the body is said to be in circular motion.
Rotatory Motion:
When a body moves on its on axis , then the body is said to be in Rotatory motion.
Oscillatory Motion :
When a body repeats its path continuously , then the body is said to be in oscillatory motion.
