Ans: Kuroop was attracted by substantial dishes like dolphin, turtle, fatter fish.

Ans: The figure of speech used here by the poet in the mentioned line is a simile and the crocodile has been compared to a tadpole in these lines who glides towards its prey swiftly. 

Question 6 : How did Kuroop give death to its victim? 

Ans: Kuroop used to move as a polliwog and he  used to come near its prey  by swimming a single length. He then grabbed and snapped and ripped it to death.

Ans: Kuroop’s prime pleasure was to drag the dead body of the animal to his wife’s feet and eat a bit and watch her eating.

Ans: The condition which was laid down by the monkey for not being able to visit Kuroop and dine with him was that he can only jump from tree to tree but he cannot swim . Therefore, he would take a boat and come to dinner.

Ans: The two options given by the crocodile in regarding the death of the monkey were that either he wanted to drown in Ganga or to be gutted by crocodile and his wife.

Long Question Answer:

1: How do we come to know that the relationship between Mr and Mrs crocodile was cordial? What was the special anniversary treat she pined for and why? What was her husband’s instant reaction? How did she react to his reaction? 

Ans: Mr crocodile was a lovely husband as he used to fulfill every desire of his wife. The substantial dishes like dolphin and turtle and flatter fish were brought by him to his wife where he used to eat a bit and watch his wife eating .This use to be his prime pleasure of him which proves the cordial relationship between Mr. and Mrs. crocodile. 

         Mrs. Crocodile wanted the monkey’s heart from his husband as a special anniversary treat as she wanted to eat something sweeter than  fruit and that was the monkey’s heart. 

       Mr. crocodile was astonished to hear his wife’s wish because the monkey was his close friend. 

       Mrs. crocodile started fainting and requested her husband that she wanted to eat something sweeter . Therefore, he must go and fetch his friend with his heart otherwise she might die.
